Description from the seller
"Scarlet Lady" XL is a visual artwork by Nik Haku that examines the body at the threshold between lift and restraint. The dancer rises en pointe, arms open in classical balance, while a vertical fall of red descends from above and traces her shoulder. The gesture suggests elevation, yet the red asserts weight. It does not decorate—it presses, elongates, and anchors. The moment captured is not one of flight, but of controlled suspension.
Artist’s statement
This work reflects on the friction between discipline and exposure. Ballet constructs lightness through repetition and strain. I am interested in the instant when that effort becomes visible—when the body no longer hides the force it resists. Red operates as pressure, not symbol. What remains is tension held in perfect stillness.
Artwork details:
• Limited Edition: 1/10
Printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Premium Silk Paper and is sold unframed.
Its elegant finish and subtle texture give it a sophisticated appearance, with vibrant, rich colors. The paper’s natural resistance also helps protect the print from fingerprints and scratches.
Each piece is individually numbered and signed, and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
The print is carefully rolled, packaged, and shipped via tracked and insured express courier from Spain to destinations worldwide.
About the artist:
I'm Nik Haku, a visual artist and photographer exploring the space between the real and the altered.
My practice blends multiple techniques—primarily photography, complemented by painting—to construct images that move fluidly between mediums. My work spans portraiture and landscapes, beginning with photographic capture and evolving through painting, AI, and digital manipulation. I aim to create visual worlds where memory, identity, and imagined space overlap, dissolving the boundaries between what is seen and what is felt.
