Yves Weiler, ISS, a 60 × 60 cm original oil painting signed by hand, dated 2023, in excellent condition, depicting a landscape and produced in France, sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
With 'ISS', Yves Weiler continues his exploration of spatial abstraction, paying tribute to the International Space Station, a symbol of human cooperation and of the view of Earth from orbit.
Dominated by solar yellows, ochres, and orange flashes, the composition evokes both the sun's luminous intensity, energy fluxes, and the Earth's maps as seen from space. The lines in tension, almost orbital, cut through matter and suggest trajectories, connections, and invisible networks.
The rich, stratified texture, worked with knife and brush, creates a vibrant depth. Lighter flashes recall the twinkling of stars or the metallic reflections of the rotating station.
The work oscillates between cosmic abstraction and organic reminiscence, leaving the viewer free to project their own vision onto it.
Through this canvas, the artist questions our place in the cosmos:
Observing Earth from the ISS is to become aware of its fragility as well as its beauty.
A bright and dynamic piece, ideal for a contemporary interior or a collection oriented toward abstract art with a scientific and humanist dimension.
The canvas can be displayed in four orientations. The artist will personally package the canvas to ensure safe shipping, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
