AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Here for sale is a beautiful late 19th century copy of William-Adolphe Bouguereau's 1888 painting "Baigneuse(Bather)".

This is a finely executed miniature copy of the famed 1888 painting that has been created in oils on fine oil paper and then applied to a hard wooden board. There's an embossed paper mark present at the base of the painting of the paper manufacturer and the painting is signed "Après Bouguereau" with the signature written in the same cursive as Bouguereau's personal signature. The subject of the painting depicts a nude woman elegantly bathing herself in a stream and the artist has managed to capture the same expressive emotion in this copy of William-Adolphe Bouguereau's 1888 original. The painting was probably created as a study by an art student of the Paris École des Beaux-Arts in the late 19th century.

The dimensions of the painting are: H: 14 CM, W: 10 CM.

The painting shows signs of wear and age(please see photos for further information).

This is a must have for art connoisseurs of 19th century fine art.
