Description from the seller
Although it is almost a caricature of a clown, the figure is strikingly realistic.
By observing the details, such as the clothing seams, the finish, and the shoes, one is struck by the realism; they are almost indistinguishable from a real character.
Although these statues were produced in large quantities, they are all hand-painted and therefore unique.
The advantage of this statue is that it blends perfectly with your decoration.
It then stands naturally among your objects with a clownish expression that is both realistic and theatrical.
A surprising and successful effect!!!
The statue is manufactured and painted in a rough manner, which is typical of this type of sculpture.
Some details seem to have been molded incorrectly, but that has not been corrected.
Moreover, some areas appear to have been painted later, such as the neck and the lower back.
Its imperfections are an integral part of the production of these statues, giving them an undeniable decorative charm!
This cyclist clown is signed on the back of the buttock and dates from 1996.
The artist is the internationally renowned Filipino designer Jun Asilo.
