Description from the seller
From the series Echoes from a Garden
One-of-a-kind work
In the Echoes of a Garden, Ella Suárez develops a pictorial investigation around the garden as a space of resonance: a place where nature, memory, and painting intertwine. The series begins with the attentive study of real flowers (their structure, color, and behavior), but moves toward a personal reinterpretation, where botanical forms are transformed into their own pictorial constructions.
The works are articulated through vases, floral arrangements, and scenes close to still life and the vanitas tradition. Rather than representing recognizable motifs, the artist proposes spaces for contemplation where the natural appears as presence, trace, and echo, suggesting the passage of time and the fragility of living things.
Created in acrylic on raw canvas, the pieces arise from a process in which water and color play a central role. The paint expands, seeps, and overlaps, allowing the material to retain traces of gesture, chance, and time. This balance between control and unpredictability is essential in the making of each work.
Echoes of the garden do not represent specific gardens, but their reverberations: chromatic fields, transparencies, and layers that evoke natural cycles of growth, transformation, and renewal. Color acts as both structure and energy, shaping a visual richness that links the botanical with the emotional and the pictorial.
Authenticity of the artwork:
Each artwork is hand-signed on the back of the canvas, guaranteeing its authenticity and preserving the visual purity of the painted surface. The signature includes the title of the work, the year of creation, and Ella Suárez’s signature. The piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA), confirming its origin and authorship.
Clarification note
The reference images may exhibit minor tonal variations compared to the original work due to the lighting in the spaces, which can affect contrast or color temperature, as well as differences between viewing devices. The photographs have been produced with the utmost care.
Shipping details:
The artwork will be shipped rolled in a protective tube, a method that ensures its safety during transport and offers a more economical and sustainable option. The canvas includes an extra 5 cm margin on each side to facilitate re-stretching, which can be carried out by the buyer or by a professional.
