Capacity: 500 ml
Limited edition: 425 / 501 bottles
Natural color – without caramel, unfiltered, cold.
Description for collectors and connoisseurs:
Highly sought-after, early limited edition from Nagahama micro-distillery – one of the most characteristic bottles from the early years of the distillery's production.
Whisky aged in an unusual combination: a wine barrel (probably Japanese Tanba wine) + a Swedish octave-type barrel – this creates an exceptionally fruity, floral and slightly spicy profile, typical of experimental Japanese young malts from this distillery.
Aroma: ripe red fruits (raspberry, cherry, red currant), winey notes, a delicate floral accent (freesia, violet, jasmine), subtle vanilla and a light oaky sweetness.
Taste: full, velvety, balanced – sweet berry fruits, warm spice notes, a pronounced but not aggressive oak bitterness, delicate spiciness.
Finish: long, fruity-floral, with a slowly fading sweetness and subtle herbal notes.
Collectible value:
• Very limited edition (only 501 bottles worldwide)
• Exclusive distribution mainly to the French market (importer LMWD)
• One of the first independent Nagahama single-cask bottlings signed by Yusuke Yahisa.
• A great example of the experimental style of the new wave of Japanese craft distilleries
• It ages beautifully in the collection – already hard to come by
