About the artist and the work:
Esther Ortega is a contemporary Spanish artist born in 1981, a computer scientist by profession and passionate about art, photography, and painting since she was young.
Fascinated by nature and its thousands of colors, especially those of the sea and the sunsets, in this work she captures the energy of the Mediterranean Sea as it reaches the shore. A sea with its mix of blues, greens, turquoises; in contrast with the white of the foam of the waves breaking, which arrive with their energy and leave with calm. Painting inspired by a series of photographs taken in Chania, on the island of Crete (Greece) where the sea offered this wonderful spectacle.
