Yves Weiler - Nebuleuse

In Nebula, the pictorial matter becomes breath and light. The shades of incandescent red, deep violet, and dark blue clash and fuse in a vibrant motion, evoking both the birth of stars and the torments of the soul.

This work invites a journey to the boundary between the visible and the invisible, where form dissolves into the pure energy of color. The viewer is invited to lose themselves there, to contemplate the creative chaos that precedes every emergence.

Halfway between lyrical abstraction and cosmic exploration, the canvas conveys a quest for unity between matter and spirit — an echo of the very dynamics of life and creation.

For painting space is not only about representing stars or nebulae. It is to question our place in the whole. It is paying homage to the science that measures and explains genesis and matter, to the human who explores or exploits, to philosophy that questions, to time that runs in light-years, to the space environment and its debris created by humans, and finally to question the geopolitical and strategic stakes of the cosmos.

Originating from a scientific background in space and trained in painting since his adolescence by a professional painter, Yves pursued painting studies, notably in Toulouse where he lives and paints canvases of the cosmos. Between 2021 and 2025, he received the Luxembourg Art Prize Artistic Merit Certificate for five consecutive years.
