A visually striking composition depicting a group of zebras, interpreted with a bold, textured brushwork. The gesso background creates structural vibrations that emerge through the oil paint, giving depth and dynamism to the scene.
The contrast between white and black, together with warm tones in the background, generates an elegant and modern chromatic balance. The work stands out for the plastometric quality of the surfaces and the expressive strength of the subject.

'BARBARA NICOLETTO’ - Italian Artist.
Born January 1968 - Padua
Active between Reggio Emilia and Padua.

Always passionate about art and drawing, she pursued studies at the Pietro Selvatico Art Institute in Padua with a specialization in painting, experimenting with various representational techniques such as watercolor, tempera, acrylic, ink, oil and printmaking, taught by masters deeply versed in ancient techniques reinterpreted with new formulas and current approaches that keep her as an innovative and experimental artist.
Her search for new stimuli and evolution leads her to collaborate in the world of sport, actively combining different disciplines for physical and psychological well-being, which, mixed with the visual arts, guides her and supports her in teaching artistic disciplines and pursuing new professional objectives.
Her art can only evolve and change with her mood and inquisitive personality!
She rarely presents as a single recognizable artistic face in a linear production line, but her work will emerge and astonish with its eclectic mutability.

1989/2011 - She continued working in the furniture sector as a designer for several important Veneto and Emilia-Romagna companies.
2017 to present - Independent Artist; Atelierist, painting student and related subjects at Reart Reggio Emilia.
She continues experimenting thanks to her great passion for other cultures abroad, deepening her knowledge of analog and digital photography, which inspires her works.
Curiosity for different modes of artistic expression brings her closer to ceramics, with Raku being the most loved.
Technique learned and refined in the large studio of master Nico Toniolo in Marostica.
She participated in several art competitions with works receiving juries’ recognitions, such as first prize at Raku Padova Arts in 2001. She studied illusionistic techniques of marble and stone such as travertine and Carrara marble.
*Her current most-used technique is oil in constant evolution, blending textured grounds with ultramarine blue, metallic oxides, pumice, and other elements dictated by moment or occasion.

*She develops and evolves an innovative, original and abstract Sealing style. Unique in its kind.
She participates in numerous exhibitions with subjects and themes always different, giving the impression of works by different hands, all thanks to her imaginative and eclectic transformative ability.
*Her fertile mind leads her to approach art with a new, deeper and more subjective perspective, stripping it of the paradigms by which it is labeled, returning it to its true nature: speaking the language of feelings and humanity’s deepest instincts, even beyond words. After three years of study, she earned the title of Art Therapist recognized by UNI PRO.
