Ashtray - Leather, Glass

Wonderful mid-century ashtray in curved brown leather and crystal glass. The design of this incredibly elegant ashtray is attributed to the craftsmanship of Jacques Adnet and it was produced in Italy in the 1950s. It is signed on the bottom. In incredible condition, with no chips or cracks and with a splendid color given by the natural patina of the thick, curved leather. The unique element of this wonderful ashtray is the shape of the hand-wrought leather frame, so sinuous that it nests into the faceted crystal ashtray. An incredibly elegant and unique object. A piece that will enrich a mid-century modern living room or study.
