Based on the nature of the technique I use to produce the works, each element of the series should be considered a one-of-a-kind piece.
"Ascesa" is the first in a series of artifacts. It consists of a pyramidal prism, interrupted three-quarters by a hollow portion. I consider this work a vindication of the Self against the perils of existence, but also an innate longing upwards. Toward a metamorphosis of form into pure energy. Matter that becomes spirit. The hollow portion that interrupts the ascent of form toward the summit is characterized as a set of parts that, when unused, remain imprinted as empty traces of past experiences.
