Information about the artist:
L.E.T., short for 'Les Enfants Terribles', is a French-German artist from Düsseldorf. Having worked in this field for over three decades, he can be regarded as one of the pioneers of the art form, and with his paste-ups and stencils he has shaped German street art like no other.
L.E.T.'s black-and-white excerpts, which rarely use color, are the result of his interpretation of similar works by famous artists or of current events that shape society. By playing with the themes, he intentionally brings provocative messages about social injustices in our modern consumer society into the spotlight, but does so with a wink, leaving the viewer with a less grim note.
His works have become so popular that many end up in private collections, and art enthusiasts roam at night in search of new pieces, removing them from walls to sell them to collectors around the world.
