AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Sergio Raugi (1936-2013) was a Livorno-born painter known as the "painter of the circus"
The two canvases depict clowns among the artist's preferred subjects, the year of attribution of which is uncertain.
The dimensions are 45 cm by 75 cm.
I remember that the paintings arrived at my home in Milan around 1965, purchased by my father directly from the artist and have remained in my possession until now.
The canvas is in very good condition, while the frames show some defects due to aging.
The paintings will be shipped with the frame.
