Ariosto - Le Rime - 1546

A very rare edition of the poetical works of Ludovico Ariosto, regarded as one of the earliest and most significant collections of his lyric poetry.

The Rhymes of Mr. Lodovico Ariosto, no longer seen, and newly printed... that is, sonnets, madrigals, canzoni, stanzas, capitoli, Venice, printed by Iacopo Modanese, 1546.

PP.: 55 (numbered only on the recto). The original title page is missing, replaced by a facsimile copy, otherwise complete.

Specimen with cards in overall good condition, with some stains and damp spots and the usual signs of use and wear.

Nineteenth-century soft-cardboard binding, decorated; very well preserved. White endpapers.
