Description:
Rare Caucasian Kazak “Eagle” / Chelaberd, woven in the South Caucasus around 1870–1880.
The piece features the characteristic large “eagle” motif, geometric borders, and an intense color palette achieved with natural dyes (indigo, madder, ivory).

The weave is dense, the wool soft and bright.
The rug is authentic, not re-dyed and not heavily restored; a quality increasingly hard to find today.
