Set of 3 bells in gilded bronze – after François Hemony – 20th century – Figurative decoration
A beautiful decorative ensemble consisting of three bells in gilded bronze, including one model inspired by the works of François Hemony (17th century), a famous bell-founder.
1/ Bell “François Hemony – Anno 1669”
Panse adorned with relief scenes inspired by medieval motifs and inscription:
F. Hemony made me – Year 1669
Figurative handle depicting a male head.
Clear and crystalline sound.
Height: 10 cm
Diameter: 8 cm
Weight: 500 g
2/ Figurative cloche – Lady in a ruffled dress
Charming bell shaped like a female figure in an antique costume, richly pleated. Beautiful gilded patina.
3/ Figurative cloche – Young woman in a flared dress
Elegant model portraying a young woman holding her dress. A simple and decorative line.
20th-century work, in the Renaissance/Louis XIII style for the Hemony bell, and a more romantic style for the figurative models.
Condition: Very good overall condition, slight patina of wear consistent with age.
