Antique German Porcelain Divided Serving Dish – Cobalt Blue & 24K Gold – Ilmenau, ca. 1950–1965
Elegant three-section divided serving dish in deep cobalt blue porcelain, richly decorated with hand-painted floral medallions and lavish 24-karat gold accents. The scalloped rims and ornate gilding reflect classic mid-20th-century German luxury porcelain craftsmanship.
The base bears the original factory mark of VEB Porzellanwerk Ilmenau, including the crown emblem, “Echt Kobalt” (genuine cobalt) and “24 Karat Gold,” confirming high-quality materials and authentic production during the German Democratic Republic (GDR) period.
This form was typically used for sweets, bonbons, nuts, or condiments, and would have been a decorative centerpiece on formal tables or sideboards.
