Description from the seller
Artwork mounted on a frame
I poured into this painting the vibrant energy and luminosity of Venice, capturing the essence of time and motion through my impressionist technique. Using oils allowed me to express a rich and intense chromatic range, suggesting the historical beauty of Venice and its timeless magic. Each brushstroke aims to evoke the poetry of the architecture and the waters that define this unique city. The sparkling domes of Saint Mark's, which make Saint Mark's Basilica unique, among the most beautiful churches in Italy, and the Campanile of Saint Mark, one of the symbols of the city of Venice, as well as the canal where I painted a few gondolas and a series of sumptuous Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque palaces dating from the 13th to the 18th centuries, constitute a splendid setting highlighting Venice's charm. I created the painting with palette knives and various oil paint strokes. The work is sealed with satin varnish.
Dora Kalinova, a painter of Slavic origin, mainly uses oil paints and the palette knife. Her technique, ranging from bold brushstrokes to layered color, seeks to create an image shaped by visual memory and the viewer's emotional states. Her works, marked by coherence and harmony, evoke intense sensitivity and a personal vision of the beauty of life.
