In "Patada a seguir," Rafa López brings to the canvas the tactical and physical intensity of the game. Alluding to the rugby maneuver that aims to gain ground and break through the opposing defense, this work presents itself as an unstoppable visual impulse.

True to his neoexpressive style and with touches of "Bad Painting", the artist builds a vertiginous vertical composition. The canvas is a battlefield where chaos and order coexist: organic forms that seem to advance, glyphic marks that denote invisible moves, and a rich, impasto-like pictorial matter. It is a metaphor about resilience and the need to move forward, to a "kick to keep going" vital to escape stagnation and conquer new plastic territories.

Rafa López (Spain) is a painter with an established national and international career. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Seville.

Their work is characterized by a distinctive language that moves between Pop Surrealism and Neoexpressionism, creating worlds where fantasy and social critique intertwine.

Notable awards: His/her work has been recognized with important prizes, among which the highlights are the 36th Bancaja Prize in Valencia, the first prize of the 10th National Painting Contest “el Primero de Fariña” in Toro (Zamora), and the prizes of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos in Valencia (2014 and 2015).
