ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am an abstract collage painter who lives and works between Madrid and the Empordà. I have studios in both places.
My work is built from layers of paint and paper to create textures that add content to the piece. The paper plays this background role and, at the same time, emerges when needed to reveal and hint at figurative realities that are left to the viewer's interpretation.
My works arise from spontaneous expression, in a process analogous to automatic writing, where messages emerge unconsciously and are then wrapped in new layers of paint, which I spread across the canvas without a brush.
