Biography:
Minoru Akata
- 1936 Born in Shizuoka Prefecture
- 1961 Graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts (received the Ohashi Prize)
- 1962 As a student with a Dutch government scholarship, Studied at the Rijksakademie van Amsterdam in Amsterdam.
Exhibited in 1963 at the Amsterdam Painting Exhibition (Staalmuseum/Amsterdam)
- 1963 Duo exhibition (Galerie Doent/Amsterdam)
Solo exhibition (Schiedam Museum/Netherlands)
- 1964 Ohashi Prize exhibition Centraal Museum (1970, 1984)
- 1977 Solo exhibition Yumedo Gallery (1978, 1980, 1982)
- 1982 Exhibition 1975-1982 (Yoyogi Art Gallery)
- 1985 White Day exhibition Prime Minister's Prize
- 1994 Solo exhibition (Matsuyama Mitsukoshi)
- 1997 Solo exhibition Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi (2001)
- In 1998 he received the Nakazawa Prize during the Hakujitsu Exhibition.
