Description from the seller

Sculpture BUTTERFLY rouge cartier by Jean-François Piecourt, all steel thermolacquered, edition 499 copies with random numbering, hand-signed
22 x 12 x 5 cm

MY ART
My work rests on a fully mastered creation process, at the boundary between industrial design and contemporary sculpture.
Each piece begins with the design of an original 3D model, then is cut into a succession of planes.
Each plane is redrawn, refined and sculpted individually, giving rise to a sculpture within the sculpture, where each slice has its own reading. The whole is then laser-cut from raw steel, then manually assembled through a precise mechanical assembly, slice by slice.
Once the artwork is assembled, it is epoxy powder-coated, sealing the material and providing a durable, homogeneous finish, the final signature of the piece.
