Originally published between 1846 and 1849 by Master lithographer Louis Haghe, together with William Day in England.
The 85 plates (84 + title plate) are breathtakingly beautiful and all faithfully reproduced from the original color lithographs.
Also historically, this book is a milestone: the monuments are depicted as found and painted on site; long before the great tourist flows began in the late 19th/early 20th century.
Condition of this book: very good. Minimal bump to the lower right corner. Otherwise fully intact. Fresh, clean and odorless copy without inscriptions.
