Anna Barone — In Orbita - XL, a 2026 original mixed media artwork, signed on the front, 120 × 90 cm, Italy, sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
In Orbit - Anna Barone
An abstract work created with transparent glazes and light layers that evoke micro-organic forms suspended in space.
The composition centers on a central core embellished with hand-applied gold leaf inserts, which introduce a focal point of light and visual appeal. Around it, floating shapes and delicate speckling suggest an orbital motion and a gentle downward sweep, creating depth and a sense of suspension.
Natural tones – dusty pink, deep blues and soft grays – dialogue in a delicate balance between presence and emptiness. The microscopic becomes landscape, evoking particles in the air, organisms in the water, or fragments of nature in transit.
One-of-a-kind piece, signed on the front.
Project Statement
Series “Fragments”
Fragments is an abstract exploration built through light veils and transparent stratifications that evoke micro-organic forms suspended in space.
The compositions suggest petals in the wind, particles in the water, or natural debris in transit, creating a delicate balance between presence and absence.
The gold leaf inserts, applied by hand, introduce a subtle luminous vibration that becomes a point of consciousness and a relationship between the fragments.
An essential, contemporary painting in which the microscopic becomes a suspended landscape.
Artist Statement
My work explores the fluid nature of water and its ability to generate shapes, movement, and light. Through watercolors, inks, and light glazes, I translate this energy into abstract visions that evoke calm, mystery, and introspection.
I paint landscapes of the unconscious: suspended horizons, reflected trees, inner blooms. Each work is an invitation to slow down, to get lost, to 'breathe with the eyes.' I let the water guide the process, embracing imperfections and fleeting traces as fragments of truth.
Welcome to my dreams on canvas.
