Les Éditions du Chêne, Paris, 1957, (37 x 27.5 cm), 48 pages, cover folded with an illustrated color illustration tipped-in on the front cover, under the publisher's glassine wrapper.
64 black-and-white illustrations, and 16 color plates tipped in outside the text.
Original edition for this large-format release, the top of the front cover slightly faded, otherwise in excellent condition.
The book DALI, published in 1957 by Éditions du Chêne in Paris, is an important monograph devoted to Salvador Dalí, written by the French art critic Michel Tapié. This original edition, often classified as a folio format (approximately 37 x 27.5 cm), includes an introduction by Tapié in French, followed by 16 color plates hors texte and numerous black-and-white reproductions.
