Wooden panel from an Indian havelli depicting Ganesha at the centre with a pair of facing lions and a lotus motif, dating to the XVIIth century (c.1650–1700), dimensions 142 cm high by 12 cm wide by 4 cm deep, from a private collection, in good used condition with small signs of aging and imperfections.

AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Wooden panel from a haveli or palatial house. It features the Ganesha, as is customary in the center, since he is the god who removes obstacles, and on either side a pair of facing lions that spit out a lotus-plant motif. The Ganesha is placed in a small temple with columns, and it looks a bit odd in photos due to the ochre paste used in the pujas, which I don't want to remove (it brings bad luck).
