Description from the seller

Set of 12 Crystal Degustation Glasses – 1940s–1960s – European Crystal

Elegant set of 12 crystal dégustation glasses dating from the mid-20th century (circa 1940–1960). These refined glasses are executed in high-quality European crystal and feature a beautifully rounded balloon bowl on a short, elegant stem.

The generous bowl shape allows optimal aeration, making them ideal for tasting cognac, armagnac, rum, fortified wines or refined spirits. They can also serve perfectly as small wine glasses or sophisticated water glasses for an elegant table setting.

Quantity: 12 glasses

Origin: Europe, might be Val Saint Lambert

Period: 1930s–1960s

Material: Clear crystal

Height: approx. 13.5 cm
Rim diameter: 6.5 cm
Bowl diameter (widest point): 9 cm
Foot diameter: 8 cm
Weight: approx. 150 grams per glass

The glasses are in very good vintage condition with normal, minimal signs of use consistent with age. No chips or cracks observed. Please refer carefully to the photos, which form part of the description.

“High-quality Belgian crystal, possibly attributable to Val Saint Lambert (unmarked), based on form, weight and craftsmanship.”

The clarity, resonance and weight indicate good European crystal production from the post-war period. The elegant proportions and balanced foot reflect mid-century design aesthetics — timeless, functional and refined.

A beautiful and versatile set for collectors of vintage glassware, for refined tastings, or for creating an elegant mid-century inspired table setting.

Careful and professional packaging guaranteed.
