In this intense coastal landscape, E. Florio captures the lyrical essence of the Mediterranean through a vision suspended between realism and sentiment. In the foreground, the diagonal lines of the tiled roofs and light-colored boundary walls guide the eye toward the heart of the work: a calm, deep sea, vibrantly shaded in turquoise and cobalt blue.
Light is the absolute protagonist. The sky, wide and soft, stretches into a milky veil crossed by light clouds that filter a diffused glow.
