Ernesto Quarti (1907-1982) - Ragazza Tuareg

The work of art is a painting created by the Italian artist Ernesto Quarti Marchiò (1894-1983). A well-known painter from Bergamo, representative of Italian the Twentieth Century.

The work falls within the Orientalist portrait tradition, a style that Quarti deepened during his stays in North Africa (in particular Libya), where he drew inspiration for numerous indigenous subjects and desert landscapes.
