All automatic watches must be wound at first use via the crown as wrist movement alone is not sufficient to maintain the required power reserve.

GUIDELINE FOR ALL WATCHES WITH DATE
To avoid possible damage to the movement, please do not set the date with the crown when the time is between 21:00 and 03:00. It is recommended to set the date with the crown when the time is between 03:05 and 20:55. (Some models have a screw-down crown; for adjustments, gently unscrew the crown counterclockwise. Remember to securely tighten the crown after making the desired adjustments.)
