Teejo (1992) - Conquête lunaire XL

Moon conquest" The conquest never dies. It simply changes terrain.

Inspired by the famous "Napoleon crossing the Saint-Bernard" by Jacques-Louis David, this painting transposes the image of the warlord into the heart of the lunar void.

The horse rears on ground pocked with craters, the astronaut brandishes his finger toward the Earth: a symbol of unlimited ambition, of a power that projects itself ever further, even if it means moving away from humanity.

Behind heroism lies the absurdity of endless conquests, whether terrestrial, celestial or ideological.

Teejo is a French contemporary artist. He modernizes old works by great masters by reinventing them with his own vision. He wishes to make (re)discover to the whole world old paintings by great masters sometimes forgotten over time. His passion for classical art has allowed him to develop his talent. He also creates new original works combining poetry, satire, prevention and imagination, conveying many messages through his creations. These works are sold worldwide.

He creates his pieces using digital tools and loves mixing and revisiting techniques to obtain the best result. He is also the designer of the "perceptual duality", a graphic innovation filed with the National Institute of Industrial Property allowing multiple images in a single painting thanks to color-filter glasses.
