Beautiful old nineteenth-century copy after the famous Madonna della Sedia by Raphael, kept at the Palazzo Pitti.
The Virgin and Child with Saint John are depicted with softness and harmony, in a composition emblematic of the Italian Renaissance.
Beautiful deep colors, luminous flesh tones and a pleasant decorative presence.
Ideal work, ready to hang, for the art collector of old masters or a classic elegant interior.
Inscription on the back to decipher, date on the frame: 1819 and traces of a wax seal.
Oil on canvas, exceptional quality: 38x31 cm.
Original gilded wood frame, dimensions: 50x43 cm.
The work is in very good condition, the original canvas unrelined, some normal craquelure.
