Antique silver-dial watch from 1850–1900, with manual-wind movement, silver case 40 mm in diameter, weighing 45 g, in very good condition.
Description from the seller
A timepiece about which I think the photos leave no room for doubt, of strikingly beautiful and objective beauty, and moreover very old, with a movement of four separate bridges wound by a key. Truly magnificent, with a dial in silver and gilt gold decoration, a slim line that makes it an especially exclusive object. Ultra-thin hands, compatible with the age of the watch. A hallmark with the inscription "Fine Silver", the equivalent of the "Premier Titolo" in France, with 95% silver content. Another interesting hallmark appears on the case (I don’t have time to study every single watch from this period, but you can do it yourself—the hallmark is clear). The watch operates with key-winding, which, however, is not present. I have tested the watch’s operation with a universal key, and two keys are necessary for this watch: No. 10 for winding and No. 7 for adjusting the hands. Currently the complete set of keys (13 in total) is available online for 24 euros, shipping included, but they are easily found in watch shops or at street markets, as well as online at modest prices ranging from 3 to 5 euros per key. A watch with very few signs of wear, moreover nearly impossible to find or invisible. As for the operation, the watch has been tested and runs; it may require lubrication, since the lubricant tends to dry out quickly if the watch is not used.
