Charming antique pendant made from a genuine 20 francs gold coin Napoleon III, dated 1867, mounted in a medallion in an ornate setting.
The coin is visible on both sides:
• obverse: laurel-crowned profile of Napoléon III with the legend “NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR”,
• reverse: the arms of the French Empire surmounted by the imperial crown, surrounded by the legend “EMPIRE FRANÇAIS” and the face value “20 F” with the date 1867.

The round frame emphasizes the coin with a festooned/corded edge giving a beautiful relief effect, with a mobile bail allowing the medallion to be worn on a fine or medium chain.
