Description from the seller
Sculptural centerpiece in artistic glass, Murano style, Italy, second half of the 20th century. This elegant piece, made in blown glass and hot sculpting, features an organic, enveloping form characteristic of modern Italian design, with an intense translucent red wrapped by an outer layer in a smoked violet tone that creates an attractive depth of color. It rests on a chrome metal base that reinforces its sculptural presence. It measures approximately 45 × 35 cm and is made in artistic glass with a metal base, produced in Italy within the Murano design milieu during the period ca. 1960–1980.
It is kept in excellent overall condition, with intense shine and no visible cracks or breaks; the edges are intact and the base shows light signs of use consistent with its age.
A piece of strong visual impact, ideal as a decorative centerpiece or sculptural element in contemporary, vintage, or design interiors. Highly valued by collectors of Italian artistic glass and enthusiasts of the mid-century style.
