Description from the seller

Dreamland W.Mutze

A vase from the Traumland series, a W. Mutze design — gigantic, captivating with its classical form.

White porcelain covered with a multicolored (shades of bronze, gold) marbled decoration created using the mazerunku technique, on which unusual botanical motifs are placed.

The Traumland vases are beautifully gilded; the color palette (flowers in delicate hues on a brown marbled background) is stunning. Each vase in this series is hand-painted, and the bottom bears a signature with the series name, the designer, and the mark of hand painting.

Walter Mutze – (1893-1963) was a renowned porcelain decorator. He collaborated with Rosenthal from 1913 to 1961, where he rose to the position of Master Designer in the Kunstabteilung (Art Department). His works decorated with the technique he patented enjoy enduring popularity among collectors worldwide.

Dimensions:
Height: 43 cm
Diameter: 25 cm
Circumference: 76 cm
