Biography
Born in Naples in 1950, where he still lives and works today, Mario Smeraglia is an artist renowned for his surrealist style, rich in detail, as well as for his vivid colors. An admirer of landscapes and the sea, his most important works immortalize the most beautiful Italian cities, seascapes, and floral compositions. Introduced to painting at a very young age, he later attended the Academy of Fine Arts in his hometown where he perfected his painting techniques, giving his style that technicality which has made him, today, a well-known and sought-after artist.
In the ongoing pursuit of new expressive values, Mario Smeraglia favors the blend of oil and acrylic and explores new techniques and materials, such as plaster and stucco, thus often becoming multi-material. His works are exhibited in numerous public and private collections, Italian and international.
The painting measures 17x24 without a frame, oil and acrylic on cardboard.
The frame, finely detailed, gives it greater economic value and beauty.
The frame was designed by Casertano Belle Arti, a renowned and historic Neapolitan company. The frame measures 56x47
