Imposing (height 74 cm), dancing figure from Thailand, cast in bronze with original gilding.

The mythical figure in a traditional pose, richly detailed in clothing, jewelry and headdress. The surface shows an old, irregular gilding with aging wear, especially on raised parts, indicating an older fire gilding.

The sculpture is hollow cast, a typical feature of Southeast Asian metal works from the early twentieth century.

Condition: appropriate for age, with patina and signs of use, (tip of the helmet), no major damages or missing parts.
