Bruno Cantais, professional painter based in Lyon, is registered as a contributor with the Maison des Artistes.
Born in 1966 in Le Havre.
Bruno Cantais explores several techniques, ranging from Rauschenberg-like abstract expressionism, to material projections, to Pop Art collage or to expressionism.
He plumbs the surface of the canvas, carving furrows that seem to open paths or sometimes lose themselves in the fogs of color. His inspiration is order and disorder, feeling and sensed, shadow and light, emptiness and fullness.
