Description from the seller
30x40cm
unique piece on 300g art paper
without frame
2026
Since 2018, Warren Podguszer, known by the pseudonym Wawapod, has immersed himself in the Pop Art and street art universe in Paris, developing a unique style that fuses geometry and popular iconography. His work stands out by reusing iconic icons through accumulations of dots, paying homage to the history of art and to popular figures he admires.
His works often have a first abstract reading that becomes figurative depending on the distance at which one stands. He likes the idea that each person who observes his works does not necessarily see the same thing but above all he loves playing with the observer's eye.
By diverting certain masterpieces, he aims to make them rediscovered by the general public and invites them to explore the history of art in a playful, modern and democratic way.
Possibility to collect the artwork in the Paris region.
This artwork is a unique piece and signed by hand on the back and the front by the artist.
Technique: Aerosol paint and acrylic on paper.
Wawapod is a Parisian artist and street artist who has multiple exhibitions across the country. His works are presented in several galleries in France and Europe.
WAWAPOD belongs to the same artistic current as: Jacques Villeglé, Invader, Jef Aérosol, Speedy Graphito, Vhils, Banksy, Mr. Brainwash, Obey Shepard Fairey, Onemizer, C215, Basquiat, Keith Haring, Andy Warhol and Jerome Mesnager.
