AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

A beautiful seascape painting by the well-known seascape and cityscape painter Willem Heytman.
The painting, unframed 30 x 40 cm, is in excellent condition. Supplied with a beautiful high-quality frame with total dimensions with frame 47 cm x 55 cm.
Willem Heytman, born in 1950 in Overveen, is an unmistakably talented Dutch painter.
As a descendant of the Dutch-born Frenchman Johan Barthold Jongkind (1819-1891), we already see at a young age notebooks full of drawings made between lessons.
Shortly after finishing his schooling, Heytman begins to experiment with pastel, watercolour and oil paint, and he focuses mainly on the latter. Apart from the lessons of the Dutch marine painter J.W. Heijting, Heytman is an unstoppable autodidact who continually pursues renewal and improvement of style, color and composition, not shying away from the challenge of almost any subject.
His first exhibition took place in 1976 in Middelburg, Zeeland. He still lives there.

Work is carefully prepared and insured for shipment.
