Cast in bronze, it features a rounded body on three legs and decorated side handles. A pierced lid crowned by a Foo dog.
At the base there is a square seal in zhuanshu script reading: “Made during the Xuande period of the Great Ming Dynasty”
This type of mark was widely used in later periods as a homage to the renowned Xuande bronzes, regarded as the highest quality in the history of Chinese bronze. Due to casting characteristics, seal execution and patina
