Description from the seller
Poplar Forest
90 x 70 cm
Acrylic on canvas
Poplar Forest builds a vertical scene marked by the rhythmic repetition of the white trunks that cut across the pictorial plane. The composition is organized around this succession of lines that create depth and guide the gaze toward the interior of the forest, where dark shadows contrast with the intense blue background.
The canopy of the trees, rendered in warm tones of yellow, orange, and red, introduces a chromatic counterpoint that balances the chill of the background. The ground, worked with defined planes and sharp contrasts, reinforces the sense of perspective and structure. The work combines formal synthesis and color contrast to create a stylized landscape where repetition and rhythm are the main compositional axes.
PACKAGING AND AUTHENTICITY
The work is offered directly by Mar Legón, and includes a certificate signed by the artist. The painting (unframed) will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube to ensure its proper conservation during transport. After payment confirmation, a maximum of three working days are required to prepare the artwork before shipment. Delivery time will depend on the destination, with an estimated period of up to ten working days.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mar Legón develops a painting practice focused on exploring color as structure and emotion. Her work is characterized by clear compositions, formal synthesis, and vibrant contrasts that situate the everyday in a contemporary territory.
Through still lifes, tropical scenes, and elements of the immediate surroundings, she builds a coherent and recognizable visual language. Each work is an original piece that reflects ongoing research into the balance between form, color, and space, consolidating a solid and projecting artistic identity.
