Description from the seller
Size: 70cm x 100cm
The painting presents a dynamic, abstract composition with a distinctly expressive character. Cool shades of blue, navy blue, and gray dominate, creating a backdrop reminiscent of a blurred urban space or an industrialized landscape. Against this backdrop, intense accents of pink and black appear, lending the whole a sense of energy and tension.
The central part of the composition is filled with a dense network of sharp, intersecting lines and scratches. They create a chaotic impression, as if the painting's surface had been repeatedly scratched, scored, or cut. These linear structures create clusters reminiscent of explosions, cracks, or tangled wire structures. In several places, the paint appears splattered, intensifying the impression of movement and violence.
The layering is very pronounced – lighter spots and earlier brushstrokes emerge from beneath the surface, dark, and sharp forms. The painting combines elements of gesture, texture, and rhythm. Despite its apparent chaos, the composition possesses an inner balance – heavier, darker sections contrast with lighter, more illuminated areas.
The whole evokes associations with tension, energy, and anxiety, but at the same time captivates with its richness of detail and structure. This is a painting that encourages lingering gaze, uncovering subsequent layers hidden beneath its dynamic, almost explosive surface.
