Description from the seller
For this artwork only second-hand teddy bears were used, originating from flea markets or rescued from the trash and thus immortalized. The work is sold worldwide to art collectors and galleries, but the bear also regularly appears on the street in various forms. (See photos).
The original teddy bear is dipped in Indian ink. Thereafter it is printed in its entirety on museum paper.
Technique: 2 colors, 340 grams acid-free paper / background is screen print

Michiel Folkers, better known as Gieler (1982), began in the late nineties as a graffiti artist in Amsterdam. He now works in his studio, but the rawness of the street remains visible in his art. His work travels the world and is seen in galleries from Zürich to New York. Especially in the United States his work has been hugely popular in recent years and is hanging on the walls of several celebrities.
