Large decorative frame in Baroque style, Italy, 1980s – gilding with faux gold leaf

Decorative large-sized frame made in Italy in the 1980s, inspired by Baroque and Rococo models.
Structure in wood with decorative elements applied in relief. The surface is finished with faux gold leaf gilding, applied by hand and then patinated to confer an antiqued effect.
The ornament features volutes, stylized leaves and cartouches, with an inner contoured profile. The workmanship is light and the entire structure has a low weight, typical of productions from the 1970s–1980s.
Condition: good, with normal signs of aging that do not compromise the overall aesthetic impact.
Ideal frame for paintings, mirrors, or as a decorative wall element in classic or eclectic environments.
