Pair of bronze cloisonné enamel napkin rings from Republican China, circa 1930–1940, each 3 cm high, 5.5 cm wide and 3 cm deep, total weight 117 g, featuring an imperial dragon motif and the title Décor aux dragons.

Description :
Period : XXth century, (Republic Period).
Material : Cloisonné enamel with brass wires.
Decoration : Classic motif of an imperial five-claw dragon pursuing the sacred pearl (or moving among stylized clouds). Deep black background contrasting with vivid colors (imperial yellow, jade green and coral red).
Technique : Traditional cloisonné craftsmanship of the period, with a natural patina on the metal and an enamel showing the grain characteristic of ancient pieces (small surface porosities normal for this period).
Condition : Very good state of preservation. Patina of wear on the edges.
