- I created my image for Falen Art to build a unique, modern, and elegant visual identity capable of representing my artwork and values.
After studies in graphic design in Namur and a strong taste for travel and cultural diversity, Natalie Matis’s vocation for porcelain was born in China during a journey.
On returning to Belgium, she joined the Porcepolis studio in Brussels, where she deepened her particular love for porcelain; she admires this material for its whiteness, nobility, translucency, intimacy with glaze, and its softness.
She offers a range of decorative objects with a minimalist design.
For several years, Nathalie Matis perfected her ceramic study in various ateliers and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Braine l’Alleud with ceramist Geert van Der Borght.
Passionate about ceramics, she explores various techniques autodidactically and has a marked fascination for Raku, a mysterious encounter between mastery and randomness, a fragile adventure between the potter’s dream and metamorphosis.
