Description from the seller

XXL Frame_this work was created in the most expressionist period of the artist. An elderly woman sells used books. age is common to her and to what she sells and it shows the wisdom and strength that time gives. Oil painting with the force and expressiveness of the color stains and lines that inevitably attract.

María Burgaz (born 1970) knew from a very young age that her path was art. She began her training at the School of Decorative Arts in Madrid, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid in the Painting specialty in 1993. Later she completed her studies at FIT in New York.
Winner of competitions such as the Wellington Foundation, Professional Football Foundation, Mujer y Sociedad, Iberdrola-UEX, UNED, Eugenio Hermoso, Gran Casino de Torrelodones… her work, in addition to being part of the collections of these institutions, is also in the collections of town halls such as those of Gibraleón, Valdemoro, Martos, Horche, and the Alicante Provincial Council…
She has held dozens of solo and group exhibitions both in Spain and abroad, and her work is also in numerous private collections around the world.
Her hardworking and enthusiastic disposition has led her to participate in all kinds of projects and to collaborate with designers, writers and anything that allows her to express all that she carries inside. Her work always reveals the stage she is living, her vitality and her particular sense of humor and way of understanding life, always with mastery of techniques that she combines and juxtaposes to create unique paintings of great narrative and technical richness.
Her works always include a certificate of authenticity and when they are on canvas they are shipped rolled in a rigid tube for greater security.
