An exceptionally rare sculptural knit sweater produced under the direction of Lee Alexander McQueen for the Fall Winter 2004 season.
This garment represents a pivotal moment in McQueen's exploration of knitwear as a structural discipline rather than a decorative one. Engineered from dense ivory wool, the piece expands outward from a controlled upper body into a precise bell-form volume - creating a self-supporting architectural silhouette without the use of internal reinforcement.
The sculptural expansion originates seamlessly from the knitted structure itself, demonstrating the advanced technical capability of the McQueen atelier during this period.
